Visit of professor Hamid Reza Khankeh from Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm, Sweden) and University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences (Tehran, Iran)
An overview on qualitative methodological implications and following by the main qualitative approaches including deep discussion about content analysis, grounded theory and phenomenology… but that was just the beginning! From 21st to 23rd of May 2018 psychology students at University of Gdansk had an unusual opportunity to take part in the Workshop of Applied Qualitative Research conducted by prof. Hamid Reza Khankeh from Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm, Sweden) and University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences (Tehran, Iran). Professor provided practical, hands-on experience in using selected qualitative methods and shared his experience of qualitative research in different methodologies, the application of qualitative methods in his respective fields and provided advice and consultation on the advanced use of cutting- edge qualitative methods. The workshop was attended not only by students, but also by academic teachers from the Institute of Philosophy Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Journalism. The whole event resulted in inspiring conversations, exchange of experiences, interesting research projects and plans for further cooperation in the near future.
