Social Sciences at University of Gdańsk in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings

 

In Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject: Social Science 2019, published on October 17, 2018, the University of Gdansk was ranked in the sixth hundred of the world's universities running research activity in the field of social sciences.

 

Our university was ranked in this subject-based list for the first time - and right on the 3rd position among the other universities in Poland. The ranking took into account 13 indicators specifying the effectiveness of universities' actions in the sphere of social sciences covering sociology, geography, political science, international relationships, and communication and media studies. Educational sciences, law, and psychology will be evaluated in separate rankings, where we also hope for success.

 

It is worth adding that the University of Gdansk is the only higher university from Pomerania to have appeared in this edition of the THE ranking.
